In my experience when we show grace coming and going, continue to suspend judgment, we find peace in an often confusing world.

Debbie, Grace is one my favorite… hmmm… started to say word, but it’s so much more than a word, or idea or thing. I’ll just leave it at that . Words, said together, that have come up for me a lot in 2010 – and will probably be a mantra of 2011 as well – are “space and grace.” They sum up so much of how I want to move through life. For me, those words remind me to be patient, open, peaceful, compassionate, grateful. When irritation (I want to disempower it with a lower case “i”) shows up, I try to remember to give the situation – and me – space and grace. Thank you for your generous sharing of grace in this post.

It’s also a thought that

Oh so true. Grace is not an easy thing to carry, especially at those difficult roads of life. And isn’t that the ultimate test/goal of who we are — how our being is in the not so good times.
“The best test of character is not how much we know how to do
But how we behave when we don’t know”
